Anyway, so today i hung out with a couple of old friends. those who remain dear in my heart and i'd walk (or drive) a thousand miles for. well metaphorically at least. i don't think my car would last that trip without dire consequences.
the hanging out part was, typically, FUN!!! yay!!!
we talked, laughed, and exchanged life stories (wait, life stories? it's only been a couple of months...).
we crashed at McDonald's though it was jam packed and old people were looking for seats (aren't we evil?).
basically, it was what friendship is for: joy, for you and me.
so yes, the hanging out part was fun.
the returning part wasn't.
see, i had a quiz today. a calculus quiz today. you know how bloody ridiculous calculus is? they should have named it ridicalculous instead!!!
anyways the quiz was at 4pm. and due to the aforementioned hanging out, i left my friends at about 3.15pm. my uni, by the way is a 40 minute drive, theoretically. so no problems, right? unfortunately, i forgot to factor in the traffic jams. in the end, escaping traffic took about 15 minutes and by the time i actually earnestly began my journey back it was 3.30pm.
so i break every single road rule there was.
and prayed hard that there were no cops around. damn effin' cops.
on a road with 90km/h speed limit, i drove at 160.
on roads where overtaking wasn't allowed, i overtook every single vehicle that i could.
that's not my car, by the way. mine can barely pass 160. |
well at least i got to the damn quiz in time. and safely.
lo and behold, i blanked the at the first question.
seriously, what the hell? all that focus spent on speeding on the road wore my damn focus out!!!
ARGHH!!! NOOO!!! MY 10 PERCENT!!! WHY DID I SPEED SO MUCH!!!
wait.
that was probably the lamest excuse ever. i just enjoyed myself too much beforehand.
oh well...
at least i could still answer (though they're probably wrong) some of 'em... fingers crossed.
lesson of today: don't hang out on the day of a quiz/test/exam. and don't break road rules.
lesson learned.
yeah right.
p.s. sorry for wasting your time with a pointless post. that's why it's called a rant, right?
p.s.s. if you're reading this, mr. L, i appreciate the lyrics
